Let me start off by stating that myself, my little brother, and my mother (plus her 4 other siblings) have all graduated from PCHS. I was more than happy to have my children in the district. Even when we moved to Gulfport, I was willing to pay tuition for them to continue education at Delisle. UNTIL... my ADHD and O.D.D son started getting treated unfairly. There is no understanding from the principal or teacher of children with any special needs. Even as small as my son's. In third grade they are expected to change classes multiple times per day and keep up with all work from each class in a large binder. No 9 year old is that well organized. No 9 year old should be expected to acclimate to that many different ways of teaching. It is absurd. My extremely bright and loving child was bringing home failing grades and showing anger in the classroom. He was embarrassed because he could not keep up in the classroom(s) and was losing focus despite the medications we put him on as a request from this school. When this started happening, and I was getting daily phone calls about how "bad" he was, I refused to pay tuition and eventually he was kicked out for his grades and behavior. We moved him to Crossroads Elementary by our home and he could not be doing better. One classroom. Less medication. Good grades. AND HE SCORED ABOVE AVERAGE ON THE 4TH GRADE ENTRANCE EXAM!!! No thanks to Delisle of course. So, despite his grades from Delisle, and with the help of his new school, he will not be held back. I will no longer claim this district to be the best. I am disappointed in it's new policies and procedures since the new superintendent has taken over. I hope this brings some awareness to Desiree Lizana so she can change some things and make Delisle great again. Money doesn't a school great. The principal does. If she can't, she needs to be relieved of her duties.

Blue Ribon school. #1 in the state almost ten years running

My favorite school of all time! Top school in the nation! Best teachers! Awesome!
